The private sector has many players. It is at the core of the world of business and commerce. For a nation to thrive there has to be a strong and robust private sector. There needs to be cooperation between the public and private sectors. The public sector must provide vital services to businesses and citizens. There has to be public works. That will only be the case if there is a functioning and stable government in place. Corruption is the worst enemy of governance. It is a cancer that eats away the moral fabric of a society.

Public service ministry is found in almost every stable nation on earth. Once a new government is elected, one of the first steps that will be done is choosing the heads of the different ministries. The cabinet head will have a number of deputies who will assist him on a day to day basis. There will also be civil servants of the government.

The ministry will come up with programs that will help to improve the quality of life. A well planned program that is well executed will make a society better at the end of the day. There is the need for proper planning of programs. As it is commonly said, failure to plan is simply planning to fail. That is the ultimate reality.

A common program is infrastructure improvement. This is an important activity. A country needs to have state of the art infrastructure. There should be a wide network of paved roads. Highways are also needed. These will link the different parts of a country. A port is also required if a country is not landlocked. Ports serve vital purposes.

There will also be a program for developing and maintaining a number of public places. A nation should have places where people can rest. An urban park is a must have in a county. This is a place where people will spend a good deal of time in when they have no work to do. Some cities have beautiful parks.

Public services facilitate a constant water supply, functioning sewage line, and an electric grid that has low up time. Electricity is the driver of commerce and industry. Businesses rely on electricity to function in a seamless manner. That is also the case with factories. An electric blackout that lasts for just a day will end up costing the economy millions of dollars.

Access to clean water is not a privilege. It is a right. Every citizen needs to be able to access clean water. In the best case scenario, there will be piped water right to the residence of citizens. If that is the case, citizens of a country will enjoy a high quality of life. As a matter of fact, water is life.

There is the private sector. On the other hand, there is public sector. This sector is a major source of employment. In some countries, it employs millions of people. This sector helps to boost the welfare of citizens through the provision of important services. To be able to provide the various services, a government will need to have money. That is why governments levy taxation.
