One thing about buying puppies is that there are more than just a few things to consider checking. Regardless of the breed, puppies are known to be happy and playful under normal circumstances. The yorkies for sale in Colorado should manifest the same characteristics and if you notice anything different, then they might not be fine health-wise. Here are a few more things that you must consider.

Look to ensure that the puppies sold at the pet store are all happy and active at all times. This becomes even better when they are ten weeks old. If you notice that they are at least eight weeks old but are not active and happy enough, then something is not right. Puppies are known to be social animals that are so easy to deal with, so you need to ensure that you get the best from the pet sellers in your region.

When it comes to walking, the puppies should manifest a well-coordinated walking when they are eight weeks old. Though they might have trouble walking on new surfaces, at eight weeks old, they need to be strong enough to walk easily. Now make sure that when you are choosing the puppy, they are strong and able to walk easily. You must buy a puppy that is healthy and strong.

Check the tummies of the puppies and check that they are not potbellied. The ones that are potbellied are mostly suffering from warms. Though warms are easy to deal with, this is an indication that the breeder is not doing great work taking care of the pets. You should inform the pet keeper and let him/her about the observation that you have made. If they have flat tummies, then it means they are fine and good for purchase.

Despite the breed of the puppies, they are known to be very curious animals who want to know about every single thing going on around them. Ask the pet seller to take some of them out so that you see how curious the animals are. Observe how they relate among themselves. Also, note that pets that are dull are hard to raise especially when you are going to be a first time owner.

Check their coats, eye, and ears and make sure that they are all looking healthy. If you notice an unpleasant smell from the coat and some discharge from ears and eyes, then the breeder is not taking good care of the pets. Make sure that you inform the breeder as soon as you notice such health problems.

Learn more about your favorite breed on the internet so that you are braced to raise them. Find out the types of food that they like and medications you will need to avail to them. You can do this without having to spend too much time on the internet since the information is straightforward.

Come up with an excellent financial arrangement that will help you acquire the right animal from the keepers. If you don't have money, consider asking for support from friends. Once you have bought the pet, check to ensure that it is in stable health.
