The municipality of every location is in charge of commercially distributed water. The supplied aquatic is expected to be safe enough for every end-user activity. Some of the common end-user activities include drinking, recreation, among other economic activities. There are a couple of steps that should be taken into consideration to guarantee the success of such activity. The following are tips for municipal water treatment in Kenya to consider.

Acquaint with factors that affect aquatic quality. There is a wide range of aspects that affect the quality of water. This includes dissolved oxygen, detergents, garbage, runoffs, sedimentation, and erosion. Environmental causes include sedimentation and runoffs whereas the rest are as a result of human activities. This includes litter, industrial garbage, pesticides, household and commercial cleaning.

Start with the flocculation and coagulation processes. Commercial aquatic management starts with this process. It involves management using positively charged chemicals to neutralize the negative charge of dissolved particles in the marine. The positive particles form large particles which are regarded as flocs that are removed through filtration or setting.

Consider the sedimentation procedure. This marks the next step after flocculation. In this process, the aquatic is moved slowly to allow the flocs formed in the previous process to settle to the bottom of the sedimentation process. The flocs that accumulate at the bottom is regarded to as sludge. They are removed through the filtration process.

Ensure that the filtration procedure is handled well. The filtration process is handled after the sedimentation process is completed. The marine is passed via a filter which captures all the solid components. They remain on the filter and are removed using an osmosis process or manually. Common particles that are captured by the filter include sand, gravel, and crushed anthracite particles. This process should be handled well to make the disinfection procedure easy enough.

Check the disinfection procedure. Different means are used in this process based on the marine quality. However, chlorine is widely used since it is very useful compared with the rest chemicals. Water from lakes, rivers, dams and other surface marine bodies should be treated using intensive measures since they have a lot of impurities. A similar process should be considered with borehole water.

Provide a report to the consumers. The consumers need to be provided with a report that indicates all the procedure that has been carried out by the municipality. Such considerations are important to create confidence in their municipality. The description should be provided at least once every year. Such kind of deliberations builds trust on the consumer side, and they can pose any queries related to the rate of service delivery from the municipality.

Teach the consumers on domestic treatment. Consumers should use their measures as well to make even though the supplied aquatic is safe for their usage. They should consider measures such as distillation, softening and filtration. Special management can be made to accommodate household members with poor immune systems and improve its taste as well.
