It is one of the recent inventions but the project was stopped fearing that machines becoming more intelligent than man. Nowadays AI programs are widely using in outer space explorations and military missions.

There is heavy machinery in manufacturing firms which are automatically operated by computers. These simple coded machines can perform a task repeatedly like cutting or drilling. They do not have any intelligence to understand the obstacle that in front of them. Sometimes human beings that are operating them have their hand or limb getting stuck into these machines which can have catastrophic effect.

In military already robots have started replacing humans. This has helped in saving lot of lives. Nowadays most of the missions are unmanned approach. Robots are being sent to space program as they can withstand extreme radiations. In future it is predicted that most of the hard bonded works in construction business will be replaced by machines.

There are positives and negatives of robotics and automation. The good part is many accidents can be avoided. Humans can explore places far in space that they can never imagine. Cheaper mass production with complete accuracy. On the contrary people are losing their jobs. It is difficult for humans to overpower robots. Self learning of systems could be dangerous.

Unemployment is on the rise due to this technology. There are places in manufacturing industry where a job that was done by hundred people is now operated by one person. The people operating machines require more knowledge.
