This program is a workplace program that helps the manager, employee, and co-employee understand the dynamics that drive them and their co-workers or the people they manage. DiSC profile test helps you build more effective working relationships based on an understanding employees and their different behavioral styles. It is the most trusted paper learning instrument in the industry.

Four areas of personality is addressed with the DiSC instrument. Understanding these areas enables the determination of which employees will make the best working pairs. It also lets the HR person determine who would make the best hire, or whether a person would not be suitable at all because they don't fit the company's idea of a what they want.

A person gets assessed in four areas to determine their personality traits. The acronym DiSC is a combination of these areas. These areas are: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance. Dominance indicates how problems and challenges are handled. Influence indicates how people and contacts are interacted with and influenced. Steadiness indicates how consist one is. Compliance indicates how one handles procedures and constraints. Each of these factors has a strong impact on work places.

Human Resource persons can gain training in this assessment and what it means in the business world. They learn, with this training, how to pair people for the best working relationships. They also learn how to bring out the best of the person based on their scores. The training of the trainer includes: Complete instruction in the DiSC training model, identifying company goals and values, and gaining a full understanding of D, I, S, and C.

The program requires training before using. This can be gotten through several ways. One or more delivery methods is available. An online, live web presentation lets the person be involved in real time. Another online presentation is available to be used in the person's own time schedule. A self-study course allows those who work best independently to do so. Classes are also presented in person in several areas. In addition, a company can present the class in their own facility by making arrangements.

This system works extremely well in determining compatible pairs and work teams. Using the different traits of a person's personality, as refers to dominance, influence, steadiness, and compliance, when it is understood how these interrelate helps to choose compatible teams and helps to prevent less compatible pairs of employees. Getting the pairing correct will make pairing effective.

Assessing the different traits can help a person understand their own personalities, and the HR person as well. Exploring the different traits of each can help with this. For example, exploring traits of dominance shows that competitive and determined are traits, as opposed to cautious and agreeable on the other side of that trait. Each trait has such opposites, for example optimistic and trusting as opposed to suspicious and skeptical in the area of influencing. There are sixteen different traits in each of the DiSC personality assessment.

None of the traits are considered negative. The impact on the personality is based on the way a person uses that trait. Forming pairs and teams should be done with compatible traits. The HR person need to share the person's traits with them to help them learn how to work together with another person. Also, knowing their personality can help them make the most of them for working relationships.
