You are reading this article right now because you will be opening up a sports bar very soon. And as with most sports bar, you will be serving beer, and serving this aplenty. To help you with this endeavor you will need a reliable commercial draft beer equipment supplier. Do read on in this article for some tips on how to find one.

Prior to your looking for such a supplier, it is a good idea that you prepare some kind of checklist first to keep track of all the information that you will be coming across. As such, having a checklist is always useful in planning and management decisions, and you should always use on when making choices involving money.

Reputation will play a big part in your choice of provider of beer equipment. If possible do as the local bar operators for suggestions, if they are or want to be that helpful. You can also look at local industry forums and ask from there also if you want.

If looking for a good supplier, get one that does onsite installation. A supplier should go further than just selling you things, but also assist in installing these equipment that you buy form them. This is very important in the case of special beer systems such as growler filling stations, kegerators and glycol cooling systems. Go for the supplier that goes the extra mile in giving good service.

Provision of transportation to your bar site should also be provided. Many suppliers will just sell things to you and forget transporting it. However, this can be difficult sometimes, and it is always nice that they can give free transport up to a reasonable distance. Also understand that if it is a bit of a ways off, they may charge a you a little bit too.

Since you will be purchasing expensive specialized dispensing equipment, it is only proper that the supplier also give you and your staff proper training as to how to operate and maintain this equipment. Training as to how to clean clogged beer lines, proper sanitation of drip trays, proper coupling and decoupling procedures among others should be taught. This training is important so you will not have breakage or stoppage due to faulty handling.

The items that you buy must also have some form of warranty and guarantee as well regarding dependability and durability. Some suppliers will not give such warranties, saying that they are just third party merchants, but you should not accept this excuse. They should be able to at least give you a one year assurance that what they have sold you will not break or falter during operations. Always take care to protect your rights as s consumer, whether as an individual or as a business.

Price is also something that should be agreeable to you. If it is a bit steep in the beginning, try to work out some form of payment or financing scheme with your prospective supplier. A good and well respected supplier will try to help you with this and understand you need some leeway as a new business operator. In fact this is because if you succeed, they will succeed also.
