When it comes to Christians, there are liberal and conservative branches of the church. Whether liberal or conservative, all Christians desire to live by the will of God. As a result, there have now been several books written, including more than one ebook about gods will. While some are better than others, each have a distinct and creative view of the topic.
To better understand the concept with regard to God's plan, it is important to know the meaning behind the term. In most cases, the will of God refers to God Incarnate having a plan for humanity. As the term is often used in a variety of ways, it can often be confusing as to what is actually meant by divine will, God's will or God's plan.
It is important that those whom believe in God's plan understand that there are two separate meanings. One which relates to God's intentions on a personal basis and one which relates to the world at large. Until people understand this concept, there will be no hope for the more peaceful and compassionate world which most believers believe is God's ultimate plan.
While the concept can be applied to Sikhism, Judaism and other religions, it is more often used in the Christian faith. While some Christians believe that the commandments of Jesus supersede the laws of these other religions, there are also those whom believe in a Universal oneness which is represented in the divine and holy presence known as God.
While ultimate refers to God as the ultimate and highest power which rules over all, intentional refers to the action of people based on the will of God. Whereas, circumstantial refers to the lack of evidence with regards to the mystery of creation. For, while some believe God created physics and chemistry which led to the big bang that created the universe, there are others whom still believe in the stories related to Adam and Eve.
With regards to science, most believe God created and put the laws of physics and chemistry into play. Two aspects of the Universe which can often cause difficulties with different properties. While God may have created these aspects, doing so does not necessarily indicate that individuals will not struggle with the concept of God or creation over the course of time.
Different beliefs among Christians are also reflected in politics. For, while there used to be separation of church and state, it seems that this is no longer the case, at least in the United States. Whereas, there are other countries that still ban citizens from participating in any form of religion. As such, American Christians need still be thankful to have freedom of religion, even if that freedom may at some times come into question.
Ultimately, most Christians believe that God's plan for humanity is to build a peaceful and more compassionate world. While this is the case, there are others, even within the Christian faith whom continue to make this an impossible task. As such, there remains a great deal of controversy as to what the true meaning of peace and compassion may be among all those in the Christian faith.
