Fourth, you risk losing a lot of stock in case of a disaster. In the warehouses, natural disasters like floods, fire and many others can occur. If you had just a small stock, then you would not lose a lot. Therefore, we can conclude that the larger the inventory the high the risk. Make your choices wisely.

Fifth, fragile and consumable goods need special attention. Moving fragile items from one place to the other is very dangerous. They might break or injure the people working on them. This requires the owner to employ more people. When it comes to consumables, some of them expire within a short time. You need to market them properly so that you can sell within time.

Sixth, the price of the products can go forcing you lower yours. This can be due to the changes in demand that we have discussed earlier. Another reason could be to recreate room for new goods. Selling at discounted prices will make you get low or no profits at all.

In conclusion, we can say that, stocking many products for sale very disadvantageous. You have to weigh the advantages and the disadvantages in relation to your specific business. After that, you will be able to make a sensible decision.
