The 69 Dodger Charger named Robert E. Lee was a star in the Dukes of Hazzard TV series, charging through highways and dirt roads with the Southern banner painted on its roof. Many Southerners still believe in the nostalgic charm of imagery and icons from a time when Southern men had to be brave and honorable. Men of the South were known and admired for being disciplined, gallant under fire, and extremely loyal.

The Southern banner is a symbol for youth, standing for rebellion against authority. But mostly, this is a way to be, to play and vamp with cool attitudes for teenagers. And the Confederate flag window decal is one of the most popular icons ever for young people today.

The blue saltire cross with stars on top in a field of red is the most popular. For the young, it is a trendy item to have, whatever adult issues may be attached. A lot of adults, too, have not abandoned their attachment to these things, and perhaps three generations has seen it pass from symbol of rebellion to a cool way to be.

Customization can be done on these decals, in sizing, shapes and designs, ordered directly on marketing websites. These sites can even have some design specific programs you can submit your concepts through. Best sites will further add design services that enable the design to be more upbeat, or relevant.

Modern decals are the vinyl kind, different from plastic and paper stickers. Decals can look embossed and definitely have better color values than ordinary stickons, which make them perfect for truck windows, or any glass vehicle window. The vinyl type is something that lasts for a long time without peeling off, fading or tearing.

Iconic Confederacy designs besides the cross are many, and you can mix cross and the design called stars and bars. Many like their Confederate and American banners at cross staves and at 45 degree angles. One flag can be juxtaposed on another, which can make them look better.

Types of decals include colored or gray stars and bars, gray and black Confederate or combinations of stars and bars or Arkansas rebel. A lot of people prefer their designs with sayings and mottoes. But then, any good or interesting design can be had on vinyl, whatever you would prefer and suits your car and your personal preferences.

Motto types can have the flag superimposed on the letters and say Come Take This One or Born Country. Some vehicles are racing types and so will have things like NASCAR and Flag 3 Race. Hunters can like things like the buck and flag design, and others can be made like waves, flames, hearts, dog paws, kiss marks and such.

Made to order designs, again, are the order of the day, pun intended. The thing about decals is that you can impose your creativity on them easily. And for those who like the flag, this is an excellent way to go with all sorts of ideas that they can occasionally or regularly replace or create a whole slew of designs for any vehicle.
