Research findings indicate that walls are responsible for between 20 and 30 percent of all energy loss from buildings. Therefore, having walls lined with insulating material can significantly reduce this loss. When in search of elegant wall insulation Westchester County New York should be one of the areas to pay a visit. Many service companies are located in Westchester, New York and they charge reasonably while offering services and products of high quality.

There are several advantages associated with installing insulation in walls on a building. One of these advantages is that it helps to cut down on monthly power consumption, which in turn cuts down on monthly power bills. This is achieved through reduced energy exchange between the surrounding and the interior of the building. Comfort within the home is also boosted a lot.

Insulation material can be applied to an existing house or as part of fresh construction. When applied in a fresh project, the insulating material is included from the very beginning of the construction process. When the insulating material is applied to an existing house, there are 3 major ways through which this can be done. The preference of any of these methods depends on the circumstances under which construction if being done and the type of insulating material in use.

The first method involves pumping insulating material into a cavity-wall construction. In the second method, insulator material is applied to the exterior surface of the walls to insulate. The last method is similar to the second method only that insulation material is applied to the inside of the walls. The attachment of insulating materials to the wall surfaces is done through various methods. Another factor that determines the kind of method used is the kind of walls in question.

Pumping of material is used in cavity walls. Cavity wall is a type of wall that is composed of two rows of bricks/blocks of the construction material used. The two walls leave a continuous cavity/space between them. The material used should be certified for use in this kind of work. Proper inspection by the contractor must be conducted before determining if the cavity is suitable for this application.

When undertaking this process, the outer surface of the walls need to be drilled with holes. Holes are drilled from outside to avoid disturbing people and processes going on in the building. Spacing between holes should be 0-6 to 1.0 meters, with a diameter of 17 to 26 mm. A distance of 30 centimeters should be left from the top walls when drilling.

Depending on how big the building is, this project should take a day or so. Dampness should be avoided in the walls by using the right kind of material. Dampness may occur in the walls if the wrong kind of material is used to fill the cavity. Identification of the presence of cavities in the walls is one of reasons for the assessment of the walls before starting work.

After the process has been complete, it is important to seal the holes through which the insulating material is introduced. This should be done in a way that that there should not be any observable difference from the rest of the wall. If done properly, this method has a lot of potential and efficiency.
