For many consumers the best part about going to trade shows and event s are the free stuff that the companies give away. For the business man, this can be the perfect avenue to advertise their brand and leave a good first impression. In this case, the first impression should last. The great thing about being a brand in these events is how the people who attend them are more likely the ones that are purchasing customers or prospects.

It is vital to maximize this opportunity since the people who attend them are actually probable customers looking for exactly what you can offer. This is where your well designed custom trade show swag comes in. This is the one thing that makes the first meeting memorable. No one really denies the free stuff you hand them, in these events.

Just to be clear, swag is a term used for the things that companies give out during trade shows. This is a form of advertising that usually shows the branding of a certain company. You have the choice of making these objects either practical or unique. Practicality is usually the go to reason for many companies, simply because they are just very useful. There have been countless times you have seen tote bags, mugs, pens, reusable water bottles and so on, in these kinds of events. Strongly consider your demographic and what would be the item they would appreciate the most.

If your demographic are seniors and would not use computers as often, it may not be the wisest idea to hand out USB chargers. Durability of what you plan to give away can say a lot about the brand. Yes, swag is meant to be cheap, more often than not breakable and temporary. The danger is if the prospect would end up associating your business with these adjectives.

Even when these items are meant to be cost effective, they still need to be durable. If your swag does not function as it should and is defective, this can leave a bad taste in whoever got the item. Also consider your booth location, if you are running out of ideas. The location can give you an idea of what the event goers may realized they need when they see your stall. Like tote bags for booths near the entrance where they can put in their loot as they go around.

Putting in a call to action statement is not only true to online platforms but also for tangible things. Since the stuff is promotional might as well consider prospects to draw in some curiosity and get to contact you. You can put in statements like call for a free quote or to let them visit your website for a unique perk.
