No man is an island. That's true of people, but it is also true of organizations. While Dr. Schuster has spent decades building his business and designing and perfecting the model that the development center teaches, it's also true that he did not do it alone. Helping him are a Schuster Center team of highly trained and talented individuals who bring decades of their own experience to the table. Together, these different points of view create unique threads that weave together to form the fabric of the Schuster Center for Professional Development.

As the nation's first school of business specifically designed with dentists in mind, we have a unique perspective on many, if not most of, the topics that are currently in demand in the industry. As such, we would represent an interesting twist and be a welcome surprise to your group's members.

The folks who work at the Schuster Center for Professional Development understand. At one point or another, every member of the Center has been exactly where you are right now. We understand the frustration, and the added pressure it puts on you.

The primary reason for bringing all of this talent together is so that the Center can provide highly personalized coaching and mentoring for the students who pass through its halls. It's true that many professional development centers do something similar, but the Schuster difference is this:

These are topics that many dentists, no matter where they are in the course of their careers, would almost certainly be interested in hearing more about from dental business experts. These are topics that they don't teach in dental school, but of course, at the end of the day, your chosen profession means that you are an entrepreneur, whether you intended to be or not. And there are a number of interesting topics surrounding that that your group would get a lot out of hearing about.

The tricky part about that is that you're also a dentist. Being a dentist requires a highly specialized set of skills. Being an entrepreneur requires a totally different set of highly generalized skills. Entrepreneurs are, after all, the last of the generalists in a world increasingly filled up with specialists of different sorts. So you see the challenge of how to manage online classes running a dental office.

It is high touch, periodic contact that truly makes the difference. You've probably never experienced anything like it before. You get excited and pumped up hearing about new ideas at a conference. You go home, and that excitement fades. Before long, you struggle to remember what all the fuss was about, and none of those new ideas ever wind up making it into your practice. Then, some time later, you have a conversation with someone else who attended, and you feel a renewed surge of excitement about what you learned. It refocuses you and reinforces those ideas, making it more likely that you'll actually implement them in your practice. It is the purpose of the Schuster Center team. That's what you get at the Schuster Center. The periodic access to the coaches and mentors makes it easier and more likely that you'll succeed in implementing our ideas, because it keeps them fresh in your mind, keeps you focused, and reminds you of why those concepts excited you so much while you were in attendance. Plus, the coaches and mentors can provide real-time guidance in terms of implementation and goal tracking, which makes the whole progress easier.
