Gymnastics training is not only for the girl or boy who wants to go to the Olympics. They may want to be on a team in high school or college. Some are there simply to have fun and we provide plenty of that. Any doctor will advise exercise as a way to maintain good health. When a child takes classes at Ambler PA Childrens Gymnastics healthy exercise and motor control are developed as they have fun.

Front and back somersaults and cartwheels are done on a soft tumbling mat. Safety is always a concern for our students. They are complimented on their successes and encouraged to improve their skills. All ages are welcome to join.

The children are put into the appropriate class depending on age and ability. First the foundational skills are taught. They are introduced to the various pieces of equipment such as balance beam, vault and parallel bars. Floor exercise, with its dance moves and tumbling runs, is done on an Olympic quality floor mat.

There are hour long classes for boys and girls who are beginners. Some are all girls and some co-ed. The goals of each child may be a fun way to exercise in a social setting or serious preparation for cheerleading tryouts when they are in high school.

Ninety minute classes focus on skills and physical strength training. These students spend more time on the apparatus to perfect their performance. The pace is fast and the instructor professional.

There are tumbling and trampoline classes. A special class can be arranged for a group of cheerleaders to learn back handsprings. The student serious about playing on any kind of sports team can benefit from strength training. Also, feeling in control of bodily movements is invaluable for soccer, football and baseball.

Cross country and track team members cannot avoid injuries unless they learn to stretch before each event. Endurance is tantamount to success for tennis matches and races. Gymnastics training will function to prepare the student for any sports competitions.
