Somewhere, perhaps in a movie, you've seen a limousine and a chauffeur, and noticed the lifestyle surrounding that whole scene. You then decided to become one. So how do you become a chauffeur?

Firstly, you will need to know that a chauffeur also does other things aside from driving expensive or luxury cars. They have a wide knowledge of the places or locations in a particular metropolis. They think ahead of their clients and plan for their needs. These individuals can also work as a tour guide since they know every corner of the city.

The first thing you need to know if you want to become a chauffeur is that you will need to know all the places within your city. Know where to go and how to get to the desired place by your boss. You know all the best routes and the landmarks along those routes. The best way to do that is to get out and discover your city. You will need to be able to read a map easily. Also, learn how to read and use a GPS.

Know all the best spots in the city. What are the landmarks? What places would you recommend to visit. Know why the certain places are mostly visited by many. What's the population of your city? Where do people usually eat. What are your recommendations? The weather is also something that you should keep track of. Know what happens on a specific date. Listen to news forecasts. The best hotels with the best services and lowest rates should also be something that you are aware of.

Dress is very important to chauffeur. You're representing your company, and or leaving an impression that you know which are doing and you dress the part.

Most companies have a dress standard for the chauffeur's. The popular style of uniform for chauffeurs today would include a tie, black suit with white shirt and black shoes. Through this, you are able to show that you are well experienced in what you do and that they are safe in your hands.

Try to notice the smallest things at work. Always maintain proper hygiene. If you want to put away your coat or suit whenever not being used, simply bring a hanger with you all the time. Don't smoke, as some people do not like that. You won't know that in less you try to smoke, so don't.

You shouldn't be talking unless you are required to. You should always respond to your boss. As Stephen Covey used to say "seek to understand, then be understood".? With experience, you'll be able to know when the time is right to talk with your client or not.

Be prepared for almost anything. There are those limousines designed with special features as well as compartments just for clients. Some would include an studio, bath tub, a sink, and others that clients may need. Always work to give more than is expected.

Of course, every professional should have his or her own tool for his or her job. There are number of apps for your phone and go a long way. Among those useful applications via phone that you can use are weather updates, maps, gps and event calendars.

Pay attention to all this if you're thinking about becoming a chauffeur.
