The restrooms you have in your lobby that is considered public ones are some of the first things people visiting your building see and use. This sets the tone for what they expect your business to be like. It is critical that these rooms are welcoming and comfortable. The reason this is so is that that is what is expected. That is why the right public restroom supplies should be on hand for replenishment whenever necessary.

When you look at the various things that belong in regular restrooms, it is a different kind of discussion. Doing those same things for a public one is more so. The types and number of items that are necessary, whether it is for your building lobby or the one in the park if you fill that public position, needs careful consideration.

The basics consist, first, of toilet paper. This may be dispensed from a closed dispenser or simply inserted onto a pole that might actually be locked onto a retaining bar. There is any number of brands and thickness. You may have a nice two or three ply paper at home, however, in a public setting, one or two ply is fine.

The next paper product will be paper towels. These can be manufactured from virgin materials or be recycled stock. The colors will range from bright white through cream and into a brown, which usually means recycled. The absorbent quality should be enough but not more expensive than your budget will allow.

It is interesting to note that, in many restrooms, the staff or owners have eliminated paper towels in favor of blow dryers. These come in many colors of cases, anywhere from brown, white and other colors to chrome. These have been shown to be more sanitary than paper towels, so this can be a better alternative to an expensive paper that is often scattered around the floor.

Soap is actually kind of important when you are about to leave this space. That dispenser with liquid soap is far more economical than having bars of soap sitting the counter. It should not be the most expensive, however, it should be a fairly nice smelling one. It would also be appropriate to stock antibacterial soap as well as hypoallergenic.

Seat covers are something that many people appreciate. These come in many styles and the dispenser is simple enough. They should be placed in each toilet stall. You can find them in different types of folds. It does not really matter about the fold as this is just a way to provide sanitary surfaces on which to sit.

The way to locate all of the items you need for these restrooms is to find a janitorial supply house. These are in many areas of every region, all around the country. The products you need are packed in large boxes for bulk savings. Having enough of all of the items needed ensures the cleaning crew has what they need when they show up.
